Empire Theatre
Built in 1911 and restored in 1997 the heritage listed theatre has the largest performing arts precinct in regional Australia. Hosting regular performances this Toowoomba icon is a must see when visiting our city.
Japanese Gardens
Located on the northern side of the University of Southern Queensland campus and covering a 3hectare site. The Gardens are one of the most traditionally designed gardens in Australia and are open from 6am to dusk every day with free entry.
Cobb & Co Museum
The Cobb & Co Museum is part of the Queensland Museum and houses a large display of horse drawn transport from the past. It also has an extensive display of natural and cultural history from Toowoomba and the Darling Downs. They offer a range of hands on workshops that you can do including black smithing, silversmithing, lead lighting and leatherwork.
Picnic Point
An old favourite of people visiting Toowoomba Picnic Point situated on the edge of the escarpment at 700m above sea level it provides spectacular views to the east over the Lockyer Valley. An excellent cafe and function centre is perfectly position to capture the views or you can take your own picnic basket and set up on the large grassed areas.
